Call for Papers: Advancing and Innovating in the Era of PSMA Theranostics
By Michael S. Hofman and Anna Patrikidou
It is with great pleasure that we introduce this Special Collection of scientific manuscripts titled "Advancing and Innovating in the Era of PSMA Theranostics". This collection brings together leading scientists from diverse disciplines to present new original scientific manuscripts and review articles on the latest developments in PSMA theranostics.
Prostate-specific membrane antigen (PSMA) has emerged as a promising target for cancer diagnosis and therapy, particularly in prostate cancer. PSMA theranostics, which combines diagnostic and therapeutic modalities, has shown immense potential for personalized cancer management. In this Special Collection, the authors present cutting-edge research on PSMA-targeted imaging, radioligand therapy, combination therapies, and emerging technologies for PSMA theranostics.
The authors of this collection include some of the most renowned scientists and clinicians in the field of PSMA theranostics. Their contributions cover a wide range of topics, from preclinical studies to clinical trials, from novel radiotracers to innovative treatment strategies, but also to our emerging understanding of resistance mechanisms and response biomarkers, eventually aiming towards a personalised radioligand treatment. The manuscripts and review articles contained in this collection provide a comprehensive overview of the current state-of-the-art in PSMA theranostics, as well as insights into future directions for research and clinical practice.
We believe that this Special Collection will be of immense interest to researchers, clinicians, and students working in the field of oncology, nuclear medicine, and radiopharmaceutical sciences. We hope that it will inspire new collaborations and accelerate the translation of PSMA theranostics into clinical practice, ultimately benefiting patients with prostate cancer and other PSMA-expressing malignancies. See the recently published KOL-review and latest paper to be published in the collection.
We would like to thank all the existing and incoming authors for their excellent contributions to this collection, as well as the reviewers for their invaluable feedback. We also extend our gratitude to the editorial team of Therapeutic Advances in Medical Oncology for their support and guidance in bringing this special collection to fruition. We encourage you to submit your research to the collection here.
